On Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon the Evanston Public Library and Peaceable Cities Evanston invite Evanston teens and adults to imagine together how to create a completely peaceable city by 2020, in which all relationships in families, schools, businesses and neighborhoods are rooted in respect and kindness.

The event will take place in the Community Meeting Room of the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave. Registration, required and limited, is available at www.epl.org/calendar or by calling 847-448-8630.

Participants are invited to make it a complete peace day by returning to the Library at 2 p.m. for an afternoon film program, the 2011 Peace on Earth Film Festival Preview. This series of short films and discussions is suitable for adults and for children aged 11 and older.

The Peace on Earth Film Festival is a project of Transcendence Global Media.
