Two new shops, Flee and Four Finches, have opened in Evanston recently, and 415 Premier Apartments, 415 Howard St., recently held a grand re-opening.
Flee, at 1106 Davis St., features “fun and functional oilcloth products [purses, etc.] for women on the fly.” Farther south, Four Finches has roosted at 1320 Sherman Ave. The store specializes in “nesting supplies for people,” such as feather pillows, furnishings and flowers. The shop will offer “tasty treats,” gifting specials and good cheer for all” at a “Refresh Your Holiday Happiness event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 11.
The grand reopening of the high-rise 415 Premiere Apartments drew a host of Evanston businesses and friends and a big surprise for Eighth Ward Alderman Ann Rainey. Maxwell Dever, founder and chairman of Concierge surprised the alderman and other City leaders with a $9,000 contribution from Concierge, and Crossbeam to match a recent $9,000 grant to the Howard Street Shopping District from the Evanston Economic Development Commission.
