On Dec. 16, just before 9 p.m., members of the Evanston Police Departments Tactical and Neighborhood Enforcement Teams, executed a highly choreographed search warrant, at 1219 Dodge Ave., said Commander Tom Guenther, public information officer of the Evanston Police Department. With the aid of a K-9 unit, police located and recovered 1263 grams of suspect cocaine having an estimated street value of $160,520 and 389.9 grams of suspect cannabis, having an estimated street value of $3,900, said the Commander. Additionally, police officers recovered $13,149.00 in U.S. currency, he said.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Offices approved charges against a 17-year-old male who resided at the address, said the Commander. The man was charged with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, two felony counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and one class C misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of cannabis, he said.
