On Jan. 19, School Districts 65 and 202 will host a visual arts open house and student art exhibit at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave. This free event, scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m. in the ETHS auditorium and gallery, will celebrate visual arts in the Evanston public schools.
Students from kindergarten through high school seniors will display art inspired by poetry from the Chinese Song Dynasty.
There will be an opening welcome and poem recitation at 7 p.m., followed by the keynote speech by ETHS alum Ra Joy, executive director of the Illinois Arts Alliance. There will also be a tour of the ETHS visual arts classrooms.
