Steve Cin, manager of Tommy Nevin’s Pub, told members of Evanston’s Liquor Commission on Jan. 14 that the owners of Tommy Nevin’s had an agreement to purchase the Pete Miller’s restaurants located in Evanston and Wheeling with a closing date scheduled for Feb. 1. The closing is subject to City Council approving a liquor license for the new owner at Pete Miller’s. The liquor commission will recommend that City Council issue the license; the ultimate decision will be made by City Council on Jan. 24 if the process can be expedited to accomodate the Feb. 1 closing date.
Mr. Cin said patrons of Pete Miller’s will likely not notice any changes immediately. He said live jazz music will continue at the restaurant, and the current staff will remain the same.
