It is our pleasure to introduce the launch of the VOLUNTEER EVANSTON PROGRAM (BETA) website to local organizations which will feature volunteer opportunities in Evanston.

This program is part of a collaborative effort with the City of Evanston, Northwestern University, Evanston Community Foundation, School District 202 and School District 65. We hope that your organization will take advantage of this tremendous opportunity and register your organization. The VOLUNTEER EVANSTON PROGRAM will serve as a community hub for Evanston’s wide array of opportunities and events to volunteer for.

Once registered, your organization can list opportunities as on-going or with a specific time period assignment, assign a volunteer coordinator and contact information to each opportunity, approve volunteers hours, direct volunteers to your organizations website from VEP, or provide a link to the website from your website enabling volunteers to see your opportunity listings.

The Volunteer Evanston Program website www.volunteerevanston.org will launch to the public on February 14th , and to volunteers that are eager to make a difference in our community. Volunteers will have the ability to search for your organization or opportunities by interest, opportunities for kids,  for teens, for the disabled, for families, court-mandated, and for the elderly.

VEP will also “Spotlight” a volunteer and organization each month, what better way to show appreciation for the time, commitment, and causes.

An Informational Session will be held on February 2nd, at the Evanston Public Library, registration information will be available at www.volunteerevanston.org. Also, check out the attached visual PSA about the Volunteer Evanston Program.
