Audie Murphy – Jan. 5, 1987 – Feb. 7, 2011

Audie Edwin Murphy of Charlestown, St. Mary, son of Denise Lewis and Edwin Murphy. He attended Retreat All Age School, Iona Prep in Jamaica then moved to the U.S., where he attended Dewey Elementary and Haven Middle schools. After spending two years in Florida, he returned to Evanston and attended Evanston Township High School.

Audie had many friends, and he was known by a lot and loved by many. He will be especially remembered for his spirit of adventure, his outspoken personality, his tenaciousness and his love for his son, Devin Murphy. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.

Audie is survived by his loving parents, Denise Murray and Edwin Murphy (Montie); his son, Devin Murphy; sisters Latoya, Destinee and Danielle; brothers Gregory, Eddie, Malik, Ian (Tiger) and Mykel. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Sonia Campbell and his paternal grandparents Merl and Eddie Murphy, and several aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom lie in Chicago, Florida and Jamaica.
