MOMs S.O.S. is sponsoring a forum on at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at School District 65 Administration Building (Board Room B), 1500 McDaniel Ave.
“Are you concerned about the rising violence among African American males in the Evanston community? Do you feel like saying “Enough is Enough”?
“Then let your voices be heard by participating in a discussion on assessing the needs of both Mothers and sons within the African American Evanston community. Find out more about the MOMsS.O.S. organization including our mission, program offerings and assist with identifying causes and suitable solutions to this epidemic of violence.
“We strongly encourage Evanston Mothers to participate, as it will be essential to the development of a platform for change.
“Although the challenges ahead are great, our hope is by coming together and taking initiative for change, our young men will soon be able to stand and say in one voice, “I Choose Life”! We strongly believe with your help and participation, we can achieve this goal. We look forward to seeing you there!Our mission is to improve the quality of life for African American males in the Evanston Community by mentoring youth, strengthening family structure, improving the social/economic, spiritual and educational conditions that affect the African American male.
