Ten local artists who study with award-winning professional Evanston painter Leslie Hirshfield at Noyes Cultural Center are exhibiting at the main Evanston Public Library. “Thursdays with Leslie” features 30 still-life and nature scenes in watercolor, acrylic and pastels in a show running until Feb. 28.

Featured artists include Noel Barnes, Judy Schein Cohen, Beth Gibbs, Rima Lockwood, Tracy Hodgson and Karen Corrado of Evanston; Sandra Lawrence-Brogren of Chicago; Marlene Targ Brill and Jean Novales of Wilmette; and Mary McNichols of Niles. The exhibit can be viewed on the second floor of the main Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington, Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6.
