The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston (IWSE) will be holding its sixth annual Hat Tea fundraising event on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Hotel Orrington from 3-5pm. The Hat Tea invokes the roots of the 98 year old organization, which was founded by an all-woman board, and is a wonderful opportunity for multiple generations of daughters and mothers to spend the afternoon together. All proceeds from the event will benefit IWSE’s programs providing high-quality early childhood education and family support services for teen parents and low-income families with young children in the city of Evanston and the surrounding communities.

This year’s Hat Tea celebrates Princesses. The event will feature High Tea at Evanston’s historic Hotel Orrington, live music, entertainment and crafts, a Tiara decorating station, an on-site salon and silent auction. The Hat Tea will conclude with a Tiara Procession around the Grand Ballroom.

Tickets for the event are $40/ individual, $70/for an adult/child pair, and $500 for a reserved table.
