I’ve known Mark Metz for years through our mutual involvement with the Evanston Baseball and Softball Association.  From the time I met Mark, it was apparent that he possesses leadership qualities that would serve to benefit our entire community – much beyond the scope of his duties as President of EBSA.  Indeed that proved to be the case.  In addition to the time he continues to volunteer for EBSA, the ETHS baseball program and the city’s Parks and Recreation Board, Mark’s tireless efforts as a current member of the 202 School Board are shaping the future of Evanston.

Whether or not you currently have a child in the schools, it remains critical that individuals like Mark are working to build and develop our public schools into opportunities – offering nothing less than the highest quality education and a wealth of positive experiences for all children.

I know few people with higher integrity, a sense of humanity and passion for our community.  Mark’s even-tempered style and intellect make him an extraordinarily well-qualified candidate to continue his service on the District 202 School Board.
