Monday March 14 marks the official start of early voting for the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election in suburban Cook County. The last day for early voting is March 31. No excuse is needed to vote early.
In Evanston, five candidates are vying for three open slots on the District 65 School Board. Four candidates are vying for three open slots on the District 202 School Board.
While Cherie Hansen may still appear on the ballot as a candidate for the District 202 School Board, she announced on March 1 that she was withdrawing from the race.
Early voting is available at 43 suburban sites. In Evanston, voters may vote early at the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Please visit cookcountyclerk.com for a full list of Early Voting sites and hours of operation.
State law requires early voters to display valid identification to an election official before receiving a ballot to vote early. Valid forms of ID include: a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph.
