Early voting for the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election began on March 14 and will extend to March 31. No excuse is needed to vote early.

In Evanston, five candidates are vying for three open slots on the District 65 School Board. Four are vying for three open slots on the District 202 School Board.

While Cherie Hansen may still appear on the ballot as a candidate for the District 202 School Board, she announced on March 1 that she was withdrawing from the race. 

Early voting is available at 43 suburban sites. In Evanston, voters may vote early at the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Visit cookcountyclerk.com for a full list of early voting sites.

State law requires early voters to display valid identification to an election official before receiving a ballot to vote early. Valid forms of ID include a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph.
