Team Evanston’s U15 Premier Boys team won the prestigious Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup international tournament held on Feb. 18-21, with a 2-1 victory over Utah’s Joga 96 team. Playing in their first outdoor tournament as a team, the U15 boys scored shutout victories over Boulder Bayern (3-0); Calgary Galaxy (2-0) and Downtown Las Vegas Premier (4-0), before clinching a spot in the championship game with a tough, very physical 1-1 draw with Orange County Premier.

All in attendance said they felt quite proud of the team for the quality of play, intensity and sportsmanship on the pitch, and their team unity and decorum off the field. The coach is Issac Moushi.

The U15 Premier team will be the first Team Evanston squad playing in the NISL Premiership this spring.  The tournament roster included Colin Austria, Johnny Cappuccitti, Sammi Endalkachew, Zach Favakeh, Hugh Ferguson, Jonathan Garcia, Daniel Gramer, Will Jackson, Tim Kenney, George Moushi, Cobi Ortega, Robert Peia, Jacob Rooth, Henry Schuler, Aaron Stone, Daniel Thomas and Jacob Zoudo.
