I am writing to encourage support for Jane Colleton for re-election to the District 202 School Board. Jane offers the Evanston community experience, wisdom, and a passion for education. I had the privilege of working with Jane for ten years at Chiaravalle Montessori School; her work teaching children left a positive impact on our community for more than 25 years. Her work with the D202 Board is a similar legacy.
A few years ago, Jane served as interim Head of School, so she faced head-on the challenges of school administration from another perspective. In all of Jane’s work, a strength she offers is considering many viewpoints and advocating for improvement for all students.
My daughter is a sophomore at ETHS and my son will be a freshman next year. I believe that the changes introduced into the Freshman curriculum next year open the doors for an education with experiences where students own their own learning and where it’s open to all. Since my daughter entered ETHS, when I reached out to Jane as a parent for perspective, she was responsive and helpful.
Please join me in supporting Jane Colleton for D202.
