Letter to the Editor:

I have known Jonathan for many years as a family friend.  I supported him in his run for a seat on the District 65 Board.  Jonathan is a man of great integrity who will be a voice for all of our children.  Whether it is ensuring effective implementation of Special Education IEPs or 504 Plans, scrutinizing the efficiency of programs relative to district budgetary needs or leading the charge for a middle school study, Jonathan is unyielding in his diligence to do what is best for our students and the Evanston community.

While on the campaign trail, I was fortunate enough to witness Jonathan’s outstanding work ethic first hand.  There was no question he shied away from or no issue he felt too controversial to broach.  He is determined to nurture what makes ETHS a great institution, and willing to work endlessly to seek out solutions to raise ETHS’s stature even higher.  Jonathan will respectfully and critically analyze data presented to him by our administration as well as seek out data and solutions beyond the walls of ETHS.  While he understands that his decision must be data driven, he also recognizes the intangibles of history in Evanston.  He is a product of Evanston’s great educational system.  He is the father of current and future ETHS students.  He is truly dedicated to our community and determined that EVERY CHILD at ETHS is afforded an excellent education.  Please join me in my support of Jonathan Baum for a seat on the District 202 School Board.
