About 30 students from Kingsley, Lincolnwood and Willard showcased their rock-and-roll talents at Linz and Vail on March 22 before a packed crowd. These students take classes for an hour a week after school, during which they learn how to play various instruments customarily played in rock-and-roll bands. Singing is also encouraged. Some of the songs performed on Tuesday night included, “I want to rock and roll all night,” by Kiss, and “Tom Sawyer,” by Rush. Nathan Dillon, director of “Everybody Rocks,” which offers the classes, said they plan to expand the program to Dawes and Orrington schools.
