Street cleaning schedules are now available here.
Residents are asked to abide by the street cleaning schedule found on existing street signs.
The city has three street cleaning schedules:
- One-sided Street Sweeping Schedule (streets with one-sided parking only) where streets are swept on Mondays between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (see attached schedule and map);
- Bi-weekly Street Sweeping Schedule (primary/high volume streets) where streets are swept according to the four sweeping zones between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. (see attached schedule and map); and
- Tri-weekly Street Sweeping Schedule (regular/residential streets with parking on either side) where streets are swept according to the four sweeping zones (Districts 3 and 4 are divided into two areas A and B) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (see attached schedule and map).
Parking is prohibited only on the sides and dates indicated on the street signs and on the schedule. Some zones may include business districts that are posted with signs indicating that street cleaning will occur between 4 and 7 a.m. The downtown is swept on Mondays between the hours of 4 and 7 a.m. Parking will be prohibited as indicated and residents are reminded to always check the street signs before parking their cars.
Residents are also reminded that raking debris into the streets for street cleaners is illegal. Violators will be fined. Fines for illegally parked cars in the One-sided Street Sweeping area may be subject to a ticket and towing charge. For all other street cleaning areas, only tickets will be issued. The ticket for violating the street cleaning ordinance (10-4-12) is $25.00 and after 10 days it increases to $50.00. If the vehicle is towed then there will also be a tow charge of $145.00 plus storage charges when residents pick up their vehicle from Northshore Towing.
