Belinda the frog did everything right, the kids at the Ladd Arboretum egg hunt were told: She laid her eggs in water but the fickle North Shore Channel washed them ashore.

Bags and baskets in hand, children at the annual Ladd Arboretum egg hunt scoured the lawn and nearby woods for colorful plastic eggs to return to Belinda. She had requested 20 eggs from each child, and nearly all of them made the quota. In return for the eggs, children received 20 tickets that could be traded for toys or entertainment in the Ecology Center.
