Joyce Anderson has been tapped as the new head coach of girls tennis at Evanston Township High School, replacing Nick Werth, who resigned because of increased work responsibilities. Coach Joyce was a first-year coach at ETHS this year, coaching girls freshmen/sophomores in the fall.

Before joining the ETHS coaching staff, Coach Anderson practiced securities litigation at Sidley & Austin. She has a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin and a B.A. from Columbia University, where she was a four-year starter in both singles and doubles, and served as captain of the women’s tennis team for two years. She earned Second Team All Ivy honors in doubles twice, and was the team MVP in 2000. As a junior competitor, she was nationally ranked, 3-time County champion, and two-time Prep champion.

Coach Anderson resides in Evanston with her husband and two sons.
