Light Opera Works’ 2011 season will begin with Alan J. Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s “Brigadoon,”(June 4-12), followed by “The Student Prince” (Aug. 18-28), “Rodgers & Hart: A Celebration” (Oct. 2 – Nov. 6) and conclude with “The Secret Garden” (Dec. 26 – Jan. 1).

In “Brigadoon” two young Americans in Scotland stumble upon Brigadoon, a village that comes to life just one day every 100 years. The score includes “Almost Like Being in Love,” “The Heather on the Hill” and “Waitin’ for My Dearie.”
