What began as an idea to showcase the works of two businesses grew to an all-neighborhood affair. Cindy Jevon of Perfical Studios (third from right) Eileen Madden of Evanston Print and Paper (second from left) put a lot of energy into last weekend’s celebration of the arts and businesses in Evanston’s West Village. City support came from Second Ward Alderman Peter Braithwaite, center, Annette Logan, far right, of the City’s Community and Economic Development Department and Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl (to Ald. Braithwaite’s right). Music, entertainment, popcorn and cotton candy added to the festivities. Ald. Braithwaite said, “On behalf of the Makin’ It Happen Planning Committee, I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to our event sponsors, the many participatingbusiness and community organizations that participated and thethe many residents who attended.” Other members of the planning committee are Dickelle Fonda, Bill Hollway and Diane Teska.
