Catch a Fish: “Access to Fishing” for children aged 5-15 continues on Saturdays 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Lovelace Park pond. No equipment is needed for this catch-and-release program.

Swim or Sun: Evanston’s five beaches open on June 11. Beach tokens are now on sale at a reduced price at all community centers.

See “One Moe” Play: “Five Guys Named Moe” begins June 10 and continues weekends through June at Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, 927 Noyes St.

Kick Back and Listen: Starlight Concerts begin on June 16 and continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at various parks throughout the summer. The June
16 and June 23 concerts will be held at James Park (Mulford Street west of Dodge Avenue), and the June 21 concert will be held at Harbert Park, south of Dempster Street along the canal.

Get Custer Culture: The iconic Custer Avenue Festival of the Arts (the Custer Street Fair) takes place June 18 and 19 along Custer and Chicago avenues and Washington Street.

Race for Good: The annual Ricky Byrdsong Race Against Hate begins at 7:30 a.m. on June 19 at Long Field, Lincoln Street at Sheridan Road.

Square Art: The 32nd annual Fountain Square Art Festival takes place in downtown Evanston on June 25 and 26.
