Two CPR courses authorized by the American Heart Association will be offered to residents and local businesses by Evanston Fire & Life Safety Services, Fire Chief Greg Klaiber has announced: “Health-Care Provider” for health-care professionals and “Heart Saver” for the general public.
Evanston Fire and Life Safety responded to nearly 5,000 emergency medical service calls in 2010 with an average response time of less than four minutes. Residents can still make a difference by initiating cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) prior to the arrival
of an ambulance.
