A group of 27 local artists who are residents at The Mather exhibited their creative works at the inaugural event of the Resident Art Committee.

The show, titled A Taste of Wine & Art, featured creative works ranging from sculpture and photographs to musical performances. It was held at The Mather, 425 Davis St.

Quilts, jewelry and other handcrafted and fine arts works were among the many items displayed. The public was invited to attend the event, which also included refreshments. The committee hopes to host future, similar events.

“It’s been just wonderful,” said The Mather resident, Babett Powell, who chairs the Art Committee, and coordinated the exhibit. “Everyone who’s come through has remarked how exciting it is to see how much talent lives at The Mather.”
