If it’s Thursday, it must be dance night. Downtown Evanston continues its tradition of Thursday night dancing in the 909 Davis Plaza, Church Street at Maple Avenue.
An hour of free dance instruction at 6 p.m. precedes the live music and dancing, which lasts from 7 until 9 p.m.
On July 14, patrons put on their dancing shoes for Angel Melendez, which performed red hot chili pepper salsa, merengue, bachata and all rhythms Latin. Thursday evening dancing continues through Aug. 18.
