Each July, the Ethnic Arts Festival transforms the idyllic lakefront Dawes Park, Sheridan Road at Church Street, into a global village. This year, the 26th for the festival, was no different. Surrounded by the flags of more than 100 nations honoring the diversity of the planet, attendees experienced the colors, sounds and aromas of world cultures.
Every continent was represented in song, dance, spoken word, visual arts and food. The festival featured live music, dance performances and folkdance lessons, art and craft work of juried artists and the intriguing spices and seasonings of various ethnic foods.
