Celebration of Life – Delores Marie Hardin
By Mel Williams
A host of family, friends, and well-wishers gathered at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church to participate in the Homegoing Services of Delores Marie Hardin, fondly known to all as Dee Dee.
There were many warm words and remembrances given on behalf of a sister very well loved and respected. There was an extremely powerful eulogy delivered by Reverend Emmitt T. Williams. Springfield Missionary Baptist Church was full to capacity for Dee Dee’s services. Among those in attendance were Albert “Sonny” Strong, Don Carlos “Skip” James and daughter, James “Snookie” Johnson, Alex Childress, Dave & Alton Belcher, Charles & Sissy Payne, Arthur “Creep” Taylor, Marchall & Gigi Giles, Neuman Alexander, Martin “Marty” Lidell, Sue “Price” Aron, Carliss Sutton, Vincent Aikens, Hervie Fox, Priscilla Brunson, Cheryl Washington, and Oliver Ruff.
There were tons of other folks in attendance whose names I did not know or that I did not see in the audience. For that I offer my apologies.
