The Evanston Public Library will host its annual Holiday Book Sale on Friday, December 9th through Sunday, December 11th. The sale features hundreds of items in excellent condition that would make great holiday gifts. It is also a place that booklovers can choose some great stories to escape into during the long winter season.

The book sale is entirely run by 14 dedicated volunteers and additional community supporters who take great pride in providing Evanston residents with a wide assortment of books and media. According to Book Sale Volunteer Barbara Handler, “We have over a dozen categories of books which are arranged by their sub-categories on our shelves…We also have CDs, DVDs, audio book and VHS tapes.”

If you would like to get a sneak-peak before the doors officially open, the Special Preview Sale will be held on Friday, December 9th from 10 a.m. until noon. The admission to this special event is $5 per person.

The Regular Book Sale runs Friday, December 9th from noon until 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 11th from noon until 5:30 p.m. all books and media will be sold at half-price.
