Evanston not-for-profit arts organizations whose primary mission is to provide performing, visual, or literacy arts programs or services may apply for a general operating support grant of up to $1,000 from the Cultural Fund Grant Program. Please note that the actual grant award amount may be less than $1,000.

Applications are available online at www.cityofevanston.org. Printed copies are available at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Evanston. Those who wish to be mailed a copy should call 847-448-8260.

This grant program is administered by the Cultural Arts Division, a division of the City of Evanston’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and the Evanston Arts Council. By providing financial assistance to not-for-profit arts organizations, the Cultural Fund supports artistic excellence throughout the community. The Arts Council strongly encourages the development of broader participation by Evanston’s diverse cultural community through collaborative efforts among artists, arts organizations, and the greater community.

A grant writing technical assistance workshop will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center. The application must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012.

This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. For more information, please call the City of Evanston Cultural Arts Division at 847-448-8260.
