The Evanston Community Foundation will sponsor a workshop on Growing with Social Media on Wednesday, January 25, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington, 1st floor Community Room. 

The workshop will provide an overview of social media, case studies from a variety of organizations and discussions of real world applications for organizations with limited resources. Facilitator R.J. Coleman, Account Executive for Life Marketing, Inc. and an experienced public relations specialist and presenter, will share his passion and his enthusiasm for social media and technology. He will be joined by a panel of nonprofit leaders with experience in using social media effectively.

Growing with Social Media is the second of a three-part workshop series designed to help nonprofit organizations grow their capacities to achieve their missions. The final workshop in the series, Growing with Volunteers, is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2012, 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Cherie Carlson, Consultant at Integrated Advising Services, will bring her experience as a nonprofit leader engaging and energizing volunteers.
