To help athletes gear up for this summer’s upcoming Olympic Trials in Kansas, USA Swimming’s 2011-12 Grand Prix series kicked off in Minneapolis, Minn. The meet featured some of America’s best swimmers, including Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, Dara Torres and Missy Franklin.

Among the sea of Olympians and world-class swimmers were YWCA Evanston-North Shore Flying Fish swimmers Grant Smith, Nick Killeen, Blake Morgan and Keven Henley, along with former Flying Fish swimmers CJ Smith and Kristina Walsh (currently representing the University of Minnesota). The Fish set three new long-course team records at the meet – Grant Smith, 100 meter breast (1:08.50) and 200 IM (2:14.33), and Blake Morgan in 200 breast (2:27.99). Nick Killeen qualified for the finals in the 400-free, finishing 24th with a time of 4:04.77.
