March 12 is the 100-year anniversary of Girl Scouts, and for the next couple months the girls from Evanston Girl Scout Troop 40043 will be putting together a video documentary about Girl Scouts over the last 100 years. The troop hopes to interview veteran Girl Scouts in the Evanston community for the video.
Former Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to join the fifth-grade Scouts from 4 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 23 or Feb. 6 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave., and bring memorabilia and memories to share.
The project will culminate on March 12, when the video will premiere at 4 p.m. at the Levy Center. There will also be activities and refreshments.
Anyone interested in sharing a story but unable to attend either the Jan. 23 or the Feb. 6 meeting may contact troop leader Susan Ryan at 847-612-9468 or email@example.com.
