Despite the first major snowstorm of the season, hundreds of people from across Evanston and the District 65 schools came out to support Foundation 65’s “My 65 Benefit” on Jan. 20 at the Hilton Orrington hotel. Foundation 65 raised more than $90,000, exceeding fund-raising goals and allowing more support for all District 65 schools.

“The Foundation is extremely grateful to our event sponsors,” said Lise Jinno, Foundation 65’s executive director. “Thanks to the leadership of our title sponsor, Lathrop & Gage and our lead donors, the Lewis- Sebring Family Foundation and Northwestern University, we raised more money this year than last which will enhance our support for education in Evanston, specifically in the areas of arts and literacy.”
