The Evanston Township High School speech team earned second place at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Regional Speech Tournament at Prospect High School on Feb. 4 and competed in 13 events at the Feb. 11 sectional tournament at Hoffman Estates High School.

Students advancing to the Sectional Tournament are Jenna Rapisarda, first place regional champion in oratorical declamation; Faith Yarnoff, first place regional champion in informative speaking and fourth place in impromptu speaking; Jenna Rapisarda, second place, dramatic interpretation; Dana Stamos, second place, humorous interpretation, and third place, original oratory; Rosemary Walsh and Noah Eisfelder, third place, dramatic duet acting; Joseph Burson, third place, extemporaneous speaking; Libby Goldman, third place, prose reading; Esther Espeland and Noah Eisfelder, fourth place, humorous duet acting; Esther Espeland, fourth place, original comedy; Katie Greenberg, fourth place, radio speaking and poetry.
