Arlington Heights resident Timothy C. Wolfe has received the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress, Illinois 9th Congressional District, and will challenge incumbent Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky in the November 2012 election. Mr. Wolfe says he believes he is qualified to represent all of the 9th District residents due to his experience as an audit manager, tax planner and Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Wolfe said in a prepared statement, “Having decades of experience as an accountant provides me with insight into the serious financial problems of the 9th District, the State of Illinois and the entire country. The struggling economy and the desperate need for new jobs are the most important issues of this campaign.” He added, “The Federal government can only minimize their impact on the business community. How can excessive taxation and regulations possibly benefit a small business?” Wolfe said.
If elected, Mr. Wolfe says his primary goals will be to: “reduce federal spending; simplify the tax code; reduce tax rates; eliminate unnecessary regulations; become energy independent; repeal the Affordable Health Care Act (“Obama Care”); and responsibly reform Medicare and Social Security.”
Mr. Wolfe earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University; a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University and a Masters in Taxation from Northern Illinois University.
