Alexander Brown, Ph.D., of Evanston is the newly appointed director of the Chicago area’s PACTT (Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow) Learning Center.
PACTT Learning Center supports individuals with autism in becoming as independent as possible with the ability to integrate effectively into their homes and community. PACTT is nationally accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership.
“I’m just in awe of the incredible connections between the staff and board members and parents and kids and young adults in the program,” Dr. Brown said.
Prior to joining the PACTT team, Dr. Brown served as the clinical director of Metropolitan Family Services and as executive director of Evanston-based Housing Options.
“We are fortunate to have Alexander on board,” Terry Herbstritt, PACTT development director, said. “His professionalism and understanding of the non-profit realm certainly will enhance our ability to advocate for the people we serve – with everyone from government officials to private donors.”
Dr. Brown said, “Through my work supporting staff, supporting volunteers, all goes straight to the clients. I feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their lives.”
