Women Out Walking (W.O.W.) is a 12-week walking program designed to encourage women in Evanston to lead healthier lifestyles and become more physically active. Using walking as the foundation, individuals and teams of women are asked to track their steps and seek to improve their activity level on a weekly basis. Optional workshops will provide nutrition tips and education in women’s health issues.
The kickoff for W.O.W. will be from 8 a.m. till noon at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave. Preregistration, available at www.cityofevanston.org, ends March 16.
