In its last official meet on the 40-year old fieldhouse floor at ETHS, Evanston claimed its fifth consecutive CSL South Indoor Track & Field Championship on March 16 thanks to nine first place finishes in the 16-event meet giving the Wildkits 163 total points.  

New Trier captured five firsts to finish in second with 93.5 points edging out Glenbrook South who ended up with 90 points for third place overall. Maine South (67 points), Niles West (51) and Waukegan (16.5) rounded out the rest of the 6-team conference meet. 

Evanston highlights included two first and second place combinations in both the 440-yard and 220-yard dashes with senior Pat Klamm (52.4) and junior Demonte Hill (53.8) capturing the 440 and senior Xavier Levy (23.4) and junior Antonio Johnson (23.45) stealing the 220.  

Levy also dominated the hurdles with a 7.55 in the 60-yard HH and a 7.2 in the 60-yard LH.  Sophomore Lawrence Northern reached 6’4” in the High Jump to capture 1st place while Adonis Jones Triple Jumped to 44’4.5” for his 1st place finish.  

The other individual event first for Evanston came from freshman Reggie Murphy who ran a 5.63 in the 50-yard Dash. Evanston wrapped up the title with first place finishes in the Four Lap Relay and Mile Relay thanks in part to a thrilling come from behind finish by Klamm in the closing turn to outpace the Wolves of Niles West 3:34.9 to 3:36.1.
