Parent Workshops for families with children under age three to learn about child passenger safety are being offered March 31 from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the District 65 Family Center, 1500 McDaniel. A child passenger safety class and attendees will have the opportunity to request free/low –cost car seats for their children. Car seats will be distributed on Wednesday, April 4th at 9:00 a.m.
To be eligible for a free car seat parents must first have attended the March 31 workshop. On April 4, distribution of free car seats will be made on a “first come, first served” basis. The family must have a vehicle for a car seat installation demo. Please call to register at 847.859.8550. The workshop is free for families currently receiving TANF, LINK, Medical Card and Unemployment benefits.
