Evanston Police detectives are currently investigating a reported home invasion that occurred on March 22, 2012 between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and  9:00 p.m.
A 97 year old male resident of the 3600 block of Old Glenview Road reported to a  relative who resides with the victim, that an unknown female had knocked on the door to the residence and entered the home. The victim was then pushed by the female offender into a wall at which time the victim fell to the floor.
The relative who arrived home after the incident, discovered that a bedroom had also been ransacked and numerous pieces of jewelry were taken from the home. This relative informed police of the details of the incident due to a language barrier of the victim.  The victim was transported by Evanston Fire Department Paramedics to a local hospital for examination. No serious injuries are known to have occurred at this time.
