The City of Evanston has partnered with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to create a Water Efficiency Program. The program serves as an action toward implementing Evanston’s Climate Action Plan and will focus on water use and water supply issues in the city with the goal of increasing water efficiency and promoting water conservation.

The public meeting hopes to address the following questions: What are the current water supply conditions for Evanston? What are the possibilities for the future demand of the Evanston water supply? Residents are asked to take this opportunity to weigh in and assist Evanston as they create a Water Conservation & Efficiency Plan for the city.

  • Water Conservation & Efficiency Plan Public Hearing
  • 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012
  • Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Room 2200

Residents can provide additional input for the plan, by completing a brief online survey here>>>. Additionally, the City of Evanston and CMAP will be holding an Open House for Evanston businesses to discuss water conservation and efficiency 3-5 p.m., April 26 in Room 2200 of the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.
