The final concert in the Evanston Symphony Orchestra’s 2011-12 series will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day, May 13, at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall on the Northwestern University campus. Mathieu Dufour, principal flute of the Chicago Symphony, plays Mozart’s own reorchestration of his “Oboe Concerto” into a “Flute Concerto.”

Two days before the concert, at 1:30 p.m. on May 11, ESO music director Lawrence Eckerling and ESO general manager David Ellis will provide insight into the composers and their works at the Presbyterian Homes, 3200 Grant St. Tickets are available at tickets@evanstonsymphony.org or 847-864-8804.
