On April 25 the second installment of the Juke Box Series took place at Shorefront Legacy Center. This performance featured jazz saxophonist Chris Greene. Mr. Greene took up the saxophone at age 10 and has played professionally for 21 years.

Music was part of Mr. Greene’s life from the beginning. He recalls his parents always playing records in the house and says, “They had good taste in music.” Being a fan of all kinds of music, Mr. Greene says, “Music [jazz] didn’t hit until the theory classes” he attended in college.

Greene’s main influences in creating his style vary from John Coltrane to Marvin Gaye. Mr. Greene’s hopes for the future are “just to tour more, record more and play better.”
