One Rotary Center, the world headquarters of Evanston-based Rotary International, has been awarded LEED Gold for Existing Buildings Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. A first-time applicant, the building, owned by Rotary International and managed and leased by Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois, Inc., achieved a perfect score in all applicable areas in the LEED Gold application for Existing Buildings Rating System. C&W’s Sandra Gutierrez, general manager of the building, led the process to achieve certification under the system, which seeks to maximize operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts.
