Evanston Police have arrested a 30-year old man and charged him with unlawful use of a weapon.

Officers were handling a disturbance call in the area of 1900 Darrow Ave. at about 7:30 p.m. on May 10 when they observed a man with a gun, according to a statement from the Evanston Police Department.  Police identified the residence in the 1900 block of Darrow Ave. that the offender entered, went to the residence and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun. Police initially had two subjects in custody and charged Andre Seals, subsequently releasing the other subject without charges.

The charge is a class 4 felony. The court date has been set at 9 a.m. on May 22 in the Skokie Court House, 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie.
