Beloved ETHS Registrar and longtime union leader remembered by friends and colleagues
Evanston Township High School has lost a dear and beloved member of the school family. Sharon Arceneaux, Registrar for Evanston Township High School, died on Wednesday, May 9. She was 54 years old.
Ms. Arceneaux began working at ETHS in February 1990. During her 22-year tenure at ETHS, she coached the Pom Pom Squad, worked as a Senior Library Aide, served as Assistant to the Registrar, and was promoted to Registrar in 2003. Ms. Arceneaux also served as the Support Staff Union President for 10 years (2000-2010). She was an ETHS graduate (Class of 1976) and was a current member of the City of Evanston Library Board. She leaves behind her husband, James, and three children, daughters Jaime, Jenevieve and Joi.
