Evanston police have charged a Chicago man, age 21, with Unlawful Use of Weapon by Felon, a class 3 felony. He was one of the subjects apprehended by police after fleeing from a vehicle on Greenwood Avenue and Judson Avenue on May 11, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department.
Police recovered a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun from the vehicle which the man fled from, said the Commander. Police recovered another .40 caliber handgun in the 1300 block of Forest Avenue on May 11.
Police released a second subject in-custody without charges on Sunday. A third subject that fled the vehicle on Friday has not been not apprehended or identified.
