On Jan. 30, the Evanston Local Liquor Control Commissioner entered an order revoking the Keg of Evanston’s liquor license for violations of the local ordinance. The Keg filed an appeal from that order with the Illinois Liquor Control Commission.

On May 9, the Illinois Liquor Control Commission issued an order finding, “the Local Liquor Control Commissioner is required to present formal charges and evidence supporting those charges giving the Appellant Licensee [the Keg] the opportunity to present a formal defense.” The Illinois Liquor Control Commission remanded the case for a rehearing on the charges against the Keg.

The Keg’s liquor license remains valid pending further proceedings.
