Evanston Community Television (ECTV) has received City permits and has begun the renovation of its new offices and studio at the City of Evanston’s Service Center at 2020 Asbury Ave.

ECTV has been in its space on Hartrey since the early ’80s. The move is a result of budget cuts and decreased funding at ECTV, which offers training in video production to the community.

Because ECTV will be closed for the move, there will be no equipment checkouts through June 10. When it reopens on June 11 at the Service Center, 2020 Asbury Ave., the facility will have only portable checkouts (cameras, laptops, etc.). Onsite editing will be available later in June, and the studio is expected to open in July. Photo courtesy of ECTV.
